The 12 month course will include a huge amount of technical training but it will also cover elements of sales and marketing, customer service, account management, accountancy, procurement and personal development topics such as behaviour characteristics and communication skills to name a couple.

Passion for IT

Both Colin and Shabazz have a passion for IT and we look forward to them joining the Network ROI team.

The Cost of Cyber crime to SMEs

The Cost of Cyber crime to SMEs

A recent Federation of Small Business report in conjunction with the Home Office and Business Departments in the UK reported that small and medium-sized businesses are losing around £785m per year to cybercrime.

Just under 20% of businesses reported that they have taken no steps to prevent such an attack. One of the ways a business can protect itself is by ensuring that essential software patches are up to date. According to the report, only 36 % of businesses confirmed that they were regularly updating software patches and 60% of those surveyed were keeping their anti-virus up to date.

Protect your business against cybercriminals with Network ROI

The FSB is a small business advocacy group that provides essential information and services to its members. The report also details that 41% of its members had been the victim of a cyber-attack. There can be a reluctance for small and medium-sized businesses to trade on the web as a result of cyber threats and for those that do it is essential that IT systems are fully protected with virus protection, up to date patches and firewalls.

If you would like to find out how Network ROI can assist your company with IT and help to prevent cybercrime then contact one of our team on 0131 510 2210. The report quoted was carried out between September and October 2012 and was based on a survey of 2,667 FSB members.
